low, how far out can you lock in rates? I have two years left on my
contract, why should I start shopping my rate now? Is it an effective use of time to price multiple fuel vendors for each purchase?
This session will explore various options in transportation fuels
and electricity products. This presentation will cover traditional
and non-traditional procurement methods, and how contract language and stipulations can have an effect on your bottom line.

What is FLSA? Does it cover school districts? Are employees owed
overtime when they work late? Is the district calculating overtime
correctly? Why are employees in some jobs expected to get the job
done with no overtime pay? The Fair Labor Standards Act is one
of the most difficult labor laws to comply with and can be very
costly when jobs are misclassified. This session breaks down the
myths and clearly defines exempt vs. nonexempt status using
examples common to school districts. Learn what business managers need to know about who is entitled to overtime pay and how
it is calculated.

later, it remains one of the most contentious and confusing issues
facing employers today. The purpose of this presentation is to
provide an overview of the Affordable Care Act with a particular
focus on aspects of the law that pertain to school districts--especially related to the classification of employees who are eligible to
enroll in a school district’s health benefits program.
