This session will answer both questions. We’ll show how schools can save money when they convert to a cloud-based records management system. We’ll use research from Wharton and others on the cost of paper records, then show the savings when they’re managed electronically. We’ll show how records can easily be filed and stored in the cloud, whether these records are contracts, HR records, or student records. By focusing on purchasing materials adopted through Proclamation 2015 and potential needs for the 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 school years, participants will learn how to anticipate both funding amounts and funding needs for any given biennium. 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm (90-minute Super-Session) Internal Audit Auditing without the Internal Auditor Room: Presenter(s): 352B Stephanie Duran, RTSBA, CPA | Klein ISD Edna Johnson | Spring Branch ISD This session will show participants how to perform some critical internal auditing functions without having an internal auditor or department. Some basic, general procedures that can be performed will be explained. Although an organization may still be at risk without an internal auditor, performing these steps will be a move in the right direction to begin to minimize some risks with limited resources.
