In the UEFA Women's Euro 2017 qualifying campaign, not only did Ross finish as Scotland's top scorer - but she was also the joint top scorer of the whole campaign. Her ten goals had her level with Norway's Ada Hegerberg and Iceland's Harpa þorsteinsdóttir.

Her first goals of the campaign was a brace against Belarus, and she scored her fifth hat-trick for Scotland as she scored four against Macedonia.

Although Scotland had already qualified, her two goals away to Iceland were seen as critical in terms of confidence towards the tournament next year.

Club Career

Her club career began with Paisley Saints but in July 2006, she joined SWPL side Glasgow City at the age of just 16.

In her second season, she won the SWPL and over her six years with the club, Ross would go onto lift six SWPL titles (the first six of Glasgow City's historic ten-in-a-row), three Scottish Cups and three SWPL Cups.

This allowed her to play in the Champions League, against champions such as the German clubs Duisburg, Frankfurt and Turbine Potsdam.

When she left the club, she sat as Glasgow City's third in the list of all-time top scorers with 157 goals in 172 games.

Upon leaving Glasgow City, she told the club's website:

“To play football professionally has always been an ambition of mine though, so when the opportunity arose to sign with Vittsjo next season I felt that it was one I could not pass up on. I have had many great years with Glasgow City and have had the privilege of working with some of the best coaches and playing alongside some of the most talented players in the country."

In December 2012, she joined the Swedish side Vittsjo GIK, scoring on her debut. During her three seasons with the club, she scored 51 goals in 82 appearances. Vittsjo secured three successive mid-table finishes during Ross' time with the club.
