‘Silungan sa Barangay’
binubuo ng DSWD
QUEZON
CITY—
Kasalukuyang
binubuo
ng
Department of Social Welfare
and Development sa pakikipag
ugnayan sa iba’t ibang ahensiya
ng pamahalaan gayundin ang
mga pribadong sektor ang isang
bagong programa na epektibong
tutugon sa isyu ng mga bata at
pamilya sa lansangan sa buong
bansa.
“Kami
po
ay
kasalukuyang
nakikipag-
ugnayan sa Department of the
Interior and Local Government
(LGU) at sa iba pang ahensya ng
gobyerno para sa isang programa
na mas magiging epektibo
sa pagresponde para sa mga
pangangailangan ng mga bata
at pamilya na nasa lansangan,”
pahayag ni DSWD Secretary
Virginia N. Orogo.
“Tatawagin po itong
‘Silungan sa Barangay’ at
kakailanganin namin ang tulong
hindi lang ng local government,
kundi ng bawat mamamayan sa
Barangay,” paliwanag ni Orogo.
“Kasama sa konsepto
ng programa ang alokasyon ng
lugar sa Barangay para sa mga
naililigtas na batang lansangan,”
dagdag pa ni Orogo.
Ayon pa kay Orogo,
ang bawat batang lansangan
na maililigtas ay kaagad ipo-
process at gagawan ng case study
para mailagay sa ‘silungan’ kung
talagang walang matutuntong
magulang. Kung may mga
kamag-anak naman, ibabalik ang
mga ito sa kanilang mga kamag-

Sa kasalukuyan ay tatlong
classrooms na pansamantala
munang hiniram mula sa Malitam
Elementary School ang inookupa
ng may 157 grade 7 students.
Ayon kay OIC Principal
Estelita Gonzales, “ang Malitam
NHS ay biyayang maraming
mag-aaral ang tunay na uunlad at
makikinabang.”
Lubos ang pasasalamat
ng mga magulang ng mga grade

PTA President Librada Fajiculay.

Duterte also lauded the
PAF for its role in humanitarian
assistance and disaster operations,
among others.
“We have proven that
with unity, cooperation and a
determined spirit, we can make
our nation strong and our defense
impregnable,” he said.
“As your commander-
in-chief, I am proud to have

the
collaborative
efforts of our Armed Forces in
successfully reclaiming Marawi

said.
“Your invaluable assistance

Sinabi ng kalihim na
maraming dahilan kung bakit
may mga batang lansangan.
“Iba-iba po ang
nagiging resulta ng aming pag-
aaral sa problema: puwedeng ang
magulang ng mga bata ay hindi
maayos ang relasyon; maaari ding
dahil sa kahirapan kaya iyong
bata mismo ang naghahanap-
buhay para sa kanyang mga
magulang, dahil may sakit, o
kaya iyong kapatid niya ay may
sakit,” pahayag ng Kalihim.
Gayunpaman, sinabi ni
Orogo na positibo siya na ang
programa, bagamat nasa pag
aaral pa lamang, ay makatutulong
upang matugunan ng pamahalaan
ang suliranin ukol sa mga batang
lansangan na nasusuong sa
panganib habang nananatili ang
mga ito sa lansangan.
Ayon
kay
Orogo,
kinakailangan din ng Kagawaran
ang tulong ng bawat mamamayan
upang maisakatuparan ang mga
proyekto at programa na tutugon
sa suliranin ng mga bata at
pamilya sa lansangan.
“Kakailanganin
natin
ng maraming resources para sa
programang ito kaya kailangan
natin ng tulong, hindi lamang ng
iba’t-ibang ahensya ng gobyerno;
mananawagan na rin po ako sa
ating mga kababayan, lalo pa
iyong mga nasa pribadong sektor
na tumulong at makiisa sa DSWD
sa adhikain na ito,” ani Orogo.
