DA 4A to harmonize
interventions for better service
By Joy Gabrido
CALAMBA CITY, Laguna, (PIA)
– For this year, the Department
of Agriculture Region 4A (DA
4A) aims to harmonize their
interventions to avoid redundancy
of programs and better cater the
needs of their beneficiaries.
This is what DA 4A
Regional Director Arnel V. de
Mesa emphasized during their
Indicative Planning Workshop on
January 16-18, 2018 in Tagaytay
City.
He stressed the need
to harmonize the interventions
crafted and implemented by the
department in order to avoid
redundancy or having projects
and programs that are overlapping
in purpose and output.
Instead, the Director
wants to ensure that projects
given to beneficiaries are those
that they really need and what
they have requested.
Some of the big ticket
projects of the department for
2020 include the construction
of farm-to-market roads and
various post-harvest facilities,
distribution of farm inputs, animal
dispersal, and establishment of
slaughterhouses, among many
others. Projects considered as
big tickets were the proposals
worth greater than or equal to five
million pesos.

chiefs, staff and banner program
