During the turn- over ceremony held in Camp Pantaleon Garcia here, Governor Jesus Crispin Remulla led the distribution of 15 units of L300 FB van worth PHP14.47 million, 36 brand new units of Armalite rifles worth PHP12 million and crime laboratory equipment to the provincial police office. The General Trias PNP headed by Police Chief Paul Bometivo received two Toyota Hilux units, two Toyota Vios units, one Mitsubishi Strada unit, one Toyota Innova unit and one Toyota Rush unit fromGeneral Trias City Mayor Antonio Ferrer and Congressman Luis ‘Jon Jon’ Ferrer IV, (6th District, Cavite) while Supt. Roy Loyola, (5th District, Cavite) turned over three brand-new pick up patrol vehicles, four motorcycles and 20 rifles to the PNP offices of Carmona, GMA and Silang while Rep. Jennifer Barzaga of Dasmarinas City donated three brand new Toyota Hilux to Dasmarinas PNP headed by Supt. Nerwin Ricohermoso; Cong. Alex ‘AA’ Advincula of Imus City, gave one unit of Mitsubushi Strada to the Imus City PNP; Bacoor City Mayor Lani Mercado-Revilla turned over two units of brand- new Toyota Innova worth PHP2.6 million to the Bacoor City PNP; Silang Mayor Omil Poblete gave one mobile car to the municipal PNP and Gen. Mariano Alvarez Mayor Walter Echavaria, one mobile police vehicle to the local PNP. The event was attended by Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief, Dir. Gen. (Ruel Francisco, PIA- Cavite) Cavite province intensifies ‘Kalinga sa Kalikasan’ campaign By Ruel Francisco PROVINCE of Cavite, (PIA) – The Provincial Government of Cavite intensified its campaign to protect the environment through the Kalinga sa Kalikasan project conducted in the province. Volunteers from Barangays Talon, Buho, Loma, Maitim, Salaban and Maymanga in the municipality of Amadeo participated in a mass cleanup drive for its advocacy to protect the environment for the future generation on December 12, 2018. Governor Jesus Crispin ”Boying” Remulla personally led the activity together with former Provincial Administrator for Community Affairs Engr. Redel John Dionisio, Vice Mayor Leo Angelo ”Junnel” Bayot and other local leaders of Amadeo. Gov. Boying Remulla led another “Kalinga sa Kalikasan” clean-up activity on December 14, 2018 to promote a secured and well-kept community through proper environment preservation and nature management starting with a program held at Poblacion Covered Court in the municipality of Noveleta. Noveleta Mayor Dino Chua together with municipal councilors, former Provincial Administrator for Internal Affairs Enrico Alvarez and Cavite City Councilor Rommel Enriquez were present to support the environmental campaign of the provincial government of Cavite. Meanwhile, on December 17, 2018 more than three thousand agile senior citizen volunteers of the municipality of Amadeo participated in the Kalinga sa Kalikasan project that aimed to protect the environment and control pollution for the sake of their children’s children. (PIO Batangas City) DBP partners with LGU GenTri GENERAL TRIAS CITY, CAVITE – The Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) recently entered into a partnership agreement with the local government of General Trias to further improve its administration and provision of services to its constituents. The undertaking will involve projects for the automation of its human resource and payroll processing and the setting-up of Point-of-Sale system (POS) and internet payment gateway (IPG) facilities. “With the POS facility, residents and business owners in General Trias City can now pay their real property taxes using debit, credit and prepaid cards, while the IPG would facilitate online acceptance of payments of the taxpayers’ real property and business dues, ”DBP president and chief executive officer Cecilia Borromeo said. DBP will also install two additional ATMs in the city to serve the local government’s employees and its residents. General Trias City Mayor Antonio Ferrer explained that these improvements will help the city government create payment options for the convenience of its resident constituents which will result to increase in tax collections as well as efficiency in services provided to residents and generate savings from decrease in operational expenses.
