HOLIDAY DECOR
Good
Enough to Eat
CityMall in Dora, Lebanon sweetened the holiday
season for several local charities last year, thanks to
an original décor centerpiece: a life-size chocolate
nativity scene.
Chantilly Chocolatier with its crew of 37
designers and craftsmen took more than 720
hours to build “La Crèche en Chocolat” out of
120,000 individually wrapped chocolates that
were later donated to charity.
Built on a 750sqft space, the display and
Christmas tree, both of which made it into the
Guinness Book of World Records, were officially
unveiled at a ceremony with tourism minister
Fadi Abboud.
The display stayed open through the holiday
season and right up until January 8, garnering
plenty of coverage on broadcast networks and
the Web.
