Partners for World Health
A group of National Honor Society students volunteered at Partners for World Health , a Portland-based non-profit that collects medical supplies and equipment and distributes them to individuals , communities , and healthcare facilities in need . Some students sorted and packed equipment , while others helped fill a shipping container with medical equipment and supplies bound for Lebanon .
“ Volunteering at Partners For World Health has taught me that the extent of my actions , no matter how small they seem at the time , can reach all the way across the globe ,” says Maia Gustafson ‘ 24 , a regular volunteer at Partners for World Health and organized the TA group volunteer work .

A Special Olympics National Unified Champion School has an inclusive school climate and exudes a sense of collaboration , engagement and respect for all members of the student body and staff . A National Unified Champion School is one that has demonstrated commitment to inclusion by meeting 10 national standards of excellence in the areas of Special Olympics Unified Sports ®, Inclusive Youth Leadership , and Whole-School Engagement .

Sophomores Simon Gellis and Collin Thompson hold slate roof tiles that will be available for bidding at the Thornton Fund Auction in May . These and other tiles from TA roofs were painted by students in a design similar to the original Maine state flag .
