C.

An officer who refuses to relinquish the records that pertain to her office pursuant
to Article IV, Section 6(C) hereof, shall be subject to Involuntary Termination
from the Organization (pursuant to Article III, Section 4(B)(1)(b).
Article V. Committees

Section 1.

General

A.

Committees, standing or special, shall be appointed by the Chapter President
(except the Executive Committee), with the approval of a majority of the Executive
Committee, as it shall be deemed necessary to carry on the work of the Organization.
The Chapter President shall be an ex-officio member of all committees (except the
Nominating Committee).

B.

Committee Members shall serve for as long as they wish to serve on any Committee,
but must always serve on at least one (1) Committee (Standing or Special)
throughout the Program Year.

Section 2.
A.

Standing Committees

The Chapter’s Standing Committees shall consist of the following, and are charged
with the duties stated herein:
1.

The Executive Committee shall consist of the elected and appointed
officers of the Chapter. The Chapter President shall serve as chairperson.
a.

Composition: The members of the Executive Committee shall be
the elected and appointed officers of the Chapter and the immediate
Past Chapter President, who shall serve ex-officio, without vote, for
one term (2 years) and shall attend a maximum of two meetings of
the Executive Committee in a Program Year.

b.

Meetings: The Executive Committee shall meet before the Mothers’
Meetings and at such times and places as may be designated by the
Chapter President. A majority of officers in Good Standing shall
constitute a quorum.

2.

The Program Committee shall assume responsibility for planning ChapterSponsored Events and Age-Group Activities.

3.

The Bylaws Committee shall assume responsibility for developing,
reviewing, updating, and proposing amendments, as needed, to the Chapter
Bylaws, Rules of Conduct and Procedure and any other documents
necessary to govern the life of the Chapter. The Chapter Parliamentarian
shall serve as chairperson.
