2. 3. P. Serve as the Chapter mediator, as needed to resolve conflicts (upon request of the Chapter President) Serves for one term (2 years), but no more than two (2) consecutive terms (4 years). This term of service is subject to Article IV, Section 2(B) hereof. Associate Chairperson (Appointed Officer) It shall be the duty of the Chapter Associate Chairperson to: 1. Serve as chairperson of The Associates Group. 2. Give the report of The Associates Group at the Mothers’ Meetings. 3. Shall serve as the Associate liaison to help recruit tenured mothers and disseminate Associate information to Associates and the Associate Group. 4. Assist the Chapter officers in carrying out their duties as requested. 5. Serve as the liaison for the Mothers-Away-From-Home Project. 6. Shall not serve as a voting member of the Executive Committee. Revised Section 6 on 5/17/11 Section 7. Responsibility to New Officers All outgoing Chapter officers must complete all reports due at the end of their tenure and deliver all files and records to incoming Chapter officers, and hold at least one transition meeting by June 15th. Exception: 1) the Chapter Treasurer must complete and deliver her files to the new treasurer as directed in Article IV, Section 6 (I)(11); 2) an officer that is removed from office pursuant to Article IV, Section 8 (C) must deliver all files and records to the replacement officer within 15 days of her removal from office. Section 8. Penalties for Elected Officers A. The Chapter President shall notify the membership of an officer’s failure to perform her duties as required herein. B. An officer who fails to fulfill the duties of her office may be removed from office upon a vote of two-thirds (2/3) of the votes cast by the Chapter membership in favor of the removal. Said officer's position shall then be filled pursuant to Article IV, Section 5 hereof (“Vacancies”). 83 83
