Section 3:
Installation and Transition:
A.
The installation of the officers shall take place no later than May 31st.
B.
The Chapter Corresponding Secretary shall forward the names of the elected officers
to the National Office no later than June 15th of each year.
C.
Officers shall assume the responsibilities of their office on June 1st.
D.
All outgoing Chapter officers must complete all reports due at the end of their
tenure and turn over all files and records to incoming Chapter officers by June 15th.
Section 4:
Resignation from Office
A.
An officer who is unable or unwilling to perform the duties of her office shall submit
a written resignation to the Chapter President and/or the Chapter Recording
Secretary. The Chapter President (or the Chapter Vice President if the Chapter
President is resigning) shall (y) present the request to the Executive Committee and
(z) begin the process to fill the vacancy pursuant to Article IV, Section 5 below.
The Executive Committee shall officially accept such resignation in writing within 45
days of the tendered resignation via a letter issued by the Chapter Corresponding
Secretary or the Chapter Recording Secretary (if the Chapter Corresponding
Secretary has resigned) via regular mail. The office shall be deemed vacant when the
resignation is accepted by the Chapter Executive Committee. The duties of an office
must not be abandoned until a resignation has been accepted, and the vacancy has
been filled.
B.
If, due to emergency circumstances, the position (other than Chapter President)
must be abandoned immediately, the Chapter President shall appoint a temporary
replacement until the Chapter Executive Committee and the Chapter Membership
can fill the vacancy through the formal process pursuant to Article IV, Section 5
below.
Section 5.
Vacancies
A.
When a vacancy occurs in the Chapter President position, the Chapter Vice
President will assume the role as Chapter President.
B.
Should a vacancy occur in any other elected office the vacancy shall be filled by the
Chapter President with the approval of the Chapter Executive Committee.
C.
Vacancies shall be filed within thirty (30) days of the date that the vacancy arises (see
the NPP).
D.
Acting Officers: During the interim period prior to an officer vacancy being filled
permanently, the Chapter President MAY appoint a Member in Good Standing to
