2. Life Members may, but are not required to attend Chapter meetings, Regional conferences, or National conventions. 3. Life Members are not required to assume Chapter obligations and do not have Chapter voting privileges. 4. Past National presidents shall be entitled to life membership upon completion of their term of office; this designation allows for waiver of all conference fees, lodging and travel expenses for future national conferences. A former national president who remains an Active Member upon completion of her term of office must meet the Active Member obligations of the Chapter. Section 3. Membership Intake A. The Chapter Vice President shall be responsible for the membership intake process as chairperson of the Chapter Membership Committee. B. New members may only be initiated annually pursuant to the procedures outlined in the Chapter’s Rules of Conduct and Procedures. C. Member-Sponsored Intake 1. Prospective Members a. b. Each prospective member must reside within the territorial boundaries of the Chapter as defined in Article III, Section 1(A) hereof (see Appendix D - SWSD Chapter Boundaries Map) or must reside in any shared boundaries for which the Chapter has a written “sharing agreement” on file with the National office. c. Each prospective member must fulfill the requirements for Chapter membership as outlined in the Chapter’s Rules of Conduct and Procedures, in conjunction with any non-conflicting guidelines promulgated by the Chapter Membership Committee and the SWSDRCP, all subject to any overriding and National Bylaw requirements. d. 2. Each prospective member must have children between the ages of two and nineteen years.
