shall keep the register of membership and maintain attendance records for
the Teen Auxiliary meetings. Recording Secretary shall also Co-Chair
Bylaws Committee.
Corresponding Secretary: Shall serve in the absence of the Recording
Secretary. The Corresponding Secretary shall be responsible for Teen
correspondence about meetings, events, and activities to the Teen
Auxiliary and the Chapter membership.
Treasurer: Shall serve as chairperson of the Fundraising Committee and
shall receive funds and provide receipts on all monies collected for Teen
Auxiliary activities. The Teen Treasurer shall maintain records and
forward financial documentation to the Teen President, Teen Sponsor (s),
and Chapter Treasurer, and shall provide further documentation as needed.
Historian: Shall keep a narrative account of the history of the Teen
auxiliary (i.e. reports provided by officers, sponsors, and members). The
Historian shall protect and maintain all documents, photographs, activity

programs, newsletters, newspapers and magazine articles. The Historian
is also responsible for the assembly of the Teen Scrapbook and any
memorabilia that serves to provide an accurate history of the group. The
Historian shall be the chair of the Scrapbook Committee.
Parliamentarian: Shall advise the Teen President and other Teen
Officers, committees, and members on interpretation of the Teen Bylaws
and parliamentary procedure. Advice shall be based on use of Robert’s
Rules of Order (Newly Revised Edition) as the parliamentary authority of
the Organization. The Parliamentarian should also serve as chair of the
Teen Bylaws Committee.
Sergeant-At-Arms: Maintains order and appropriate decorum during all
meetings of the Teen Auxiliary. The Sergeant-At-Arms may assess fines
as established by the group for inappropriate behavior during business
meetings.
Chaplain: Establishes the tone of meetings and gatherings by through
presentation of a prayer and/or appropriate reading.
Article IV. Teen Auxiliary Committees
Section 1. Standing Committees: There shall be three (3) standing committees operable
in the SWSD Chapter’s Teen Auxiliary of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. - the Scrapbook,
Fundraising and Bylaw Committee.
A.
Scrapbook Committee: The Historian shall Chair the scrapbook
committee. This committee will work with the Mother’s Committee in
order to assist with preparation of the annual Chapter Scrapbook,
providing details and pictures of teen gatherings.
B.
Budget & Fundraising Committee: The Treasurer shall chair the
committee. The committee shall evaluate and recommend fundraising
events to the membership for approval.
