elected or appointed to permanently fill the vacant position. While the
Acting officer may make reports to the Executive Committee and the
Teens regarding the status and ongoing plans managed by said office, the
Acting Teen Auxiliary officer shall have no voting authority in Executive
Committee meetings (as related to their status as an Acting officer) and
may not utilize the funds of the Chapter to execute projects managed by
the office without prior approval of the Chapter. Such appointments do not
require an official installation ceremony.
Section 7. Removal of officers
A.
If an Elected Teen Auxiliary officer fails to fulfill the duties of his/her
office, the officer may be removed with the approval of Teen Sponsor and
a vote in favor of removal by a majority of the Teens in Good Standing.
B.
The vacancy of an elected office shall be filled pursuant to Section ___:
Vacancies hereof. A new election shall be held within 30 days of the date
that the vacancy arises.
C.
The Teen President or Teen Sponsor shall remove an Appointed Officer
who fails to fulfill the duties of his/her office from the office. The Teen
President may then appoint another Teen in Good Standing to fulfill the
balance of the removed officer’s term.
Section 8. Duties of Offices
A.
President: Shall preside at all meetings, develop the meeting agenda in
communication with the Teen Sponsor(s), and may appoint officers as
provided by the Bylaws. The Teen President enforces the Teen Bylaws of
the ChapThe President shall work with the Member mother age-group
chairs for the Teen Auxiliary in planning teen activities for the Program
Year. The President shall work with the Teen Conference sponsor in
planning and preparing for the Teen Conference. The President shall
represent the Southwest Suburban Dallas Chapter Teens at the Regional
Area Work Day and the Regional and National Conferences as Delegate
One (1). The President is an ex-officio member of all committees and shall
exercise all powers generally pertaining to the position.
B.
Vice-President: Shall preside in the absence of the President therefore
shall be vested with the power to perform the duties thereof. They shall
assist the President as deemed necessary. The Vice-President shall
represent the Southwest Suburban Dallas Chapter Teens as Delegate Two
(2) at Area Work Day and Regional and National Conferences. The VicePresident fills the unexpired term of the President if the office should
become vacant.
C.
Recording Secretary: Shall keep accurate written accounts of the
proceedings of the Teen Auxiliary meetings and submit copies of the
minutes to the President, Vice-President, Corresponding Secretary and
Teen Sponsor(s), no later than 48 hours after each meeting. Recording
Secretary shall also record votes for the minutes. The Recording Secretary
