Nominations for all available position will be taken by the Committee Members between Wednesday, January 19, 2011 and 6p, Friday, March 11, 2011 (to give the Committee time to confirm eligibility, to confirm acceptance or rejection of the nomination, and to prepare the slate for dissemination at the March Mothers’ Meeting on March 15, 2011). Nominations must be submitted on the 2011 SWSD Chapter Nomination Form. (See Appendix A) B. Nominations for each available position may come from any Member in Good Standing within the Chapter (including Committee Members). C. Committee Members MAY run for office as long as they meet the eligibility requirements for the office they seek. D. The Committee shall confirm whether each nominee is in Good Standing. E. Once a nomination is received and Good Standing is confirmed, the Committee shall contact the nominees to confirm whether the potential candidate accepts or rejects the nomination. F. The Committee shall meet in closed sessions to consider the qualifications of each candidate. F. The final slate of candidates shall be presented at the March Mothers’ Meeting and distributed via email (by the Recording Secretary) soon thereafter. VII. CAMPAIGNS A. Timing: Candidates may begin campaigning after the final slate of candidates is presented at the March Mothers’ Meeting. B. Spending Limits: none C. Content of Campaign Materials: Candidates may campaign in any way not restricted by these rules. The content of campaign materials should be tactful: attacks on candidates, inappropriate materials and vulgarity are prohibited. Creativity is encouraged, but here are common examples of campaign appropriate media: - Flyers/Quarter sheets - Posters - Buttons - Candy D.
