Membership will approve (by a majority of Members in Good Standing)
the final nominating procedures at that January Mothers’ Meeting. A
slate of officers shall be disseminated by the Chapter Corresponding
Secretary at the March Mothers’ Meeting. Voting shall take place at the
April Mothers’ Meeting. The Chapter Parliamentarian shall serve as
chairperson of this committee. The Chapter Sergeant-at-Arms shall serve
as vice chairperson.

Election of Committee Members: Members of the Nominating
Committee should never be appointed by the president, and the
president should not be a Member of the committee even in an exofficio capacity. The Bylaws prescribe the method of election- five (5)
Members, one from each age group, as elected by a majority of votes
cast by the Members in Good Standing at the November Mothers’
Meeting.
Qualifications for Committee Members: Only Members in Good
Standing should be elected to serve. Voting Members should consider
women that are well acquainted with the Membership, that are informed
regarding the duties of the offices to be filled, that understand the purposes
and mission of the Chapter, and that are willing to plan open-mindedly for
its future progress by seeking out the best possible nominees for each and
every office.
Chairwoman: The person that is to serve as the Committee’s
Chairwoman is as provided in the Chapter Bylaws. If a Chairwoman has
not been so designated, the committee shall elect, by majority vote, one
