Membership Committee Membership Procedures for the Southwest Suburban Dallas Chapter of Jack & Jill of America, Inc. Approved by the Chapter on April 19, 2011 I. General Membership Policies and Procedures A. Members shall notify the Chapter Membership Committee Chair of any changes in residency, phone number and/or email address within 30 days of said change. B. Members shall participate in the Chapter sponsored fundraising efforts every program year, which benefit the national initiatives of the Jack and Jill Foundation. C. When the Chapter is hosting a National Convention, Mothers’ Conference, Area Workday, Children’s Cluster or Teen Conference, all members MUST participate in the planning, development and implementation of the tasks necessary to execute a successful conference. This includes involvement in at least one (1) planning committee. A mother who needs their participation excused should seek approval from the Chapter President. II. A. B. C. D. III. Mothers’ Meetings Members shall attend all scheduled monthly Mothers’ Meetings. Members who will not be in attendance at a scheduled Mothers’ Meeting must send an email notification to the Chapter Corresponding Secretary or call the Chapter Corresponding Secretary no later than four (4) hours prior to the meeting to record their absence. Members may not be absent from three (3) or more Mothers’ Meetings in one (1) program year. Any member whose cell phone, or other mobile device, sounds off during the Mothers’ Meeting shall be assessed a $5 fine to be paid in cash immediately. Monies collected will be added to the funds allotted to support Chapter Black Family Day. This assessment will be collected at the end of the Mother’s Meeting by the Chapter Sergeant-at-Arms, who will then turn it over to the Chapter Financial Secretary. Leave of Absence A. All FULL Program Year Leave of Absence requests for the following Program Year MUST be submitted to the chapter Membership Committee Chair in writing no later than May 31st of the current program year.
