F. If no appointed officer agrees to serve as Delegate or Alternate Delegate the
opportunity to serve in the open position(s) shall be offered to the Chapterat-Large through an election process. The election process template shall be
as follows:
1. Nominations for the Delegate position will be taken at the April Mothers’
Meeting. Only Members in Good Standing will be eligible to run.
2. All candidates will be given 1 minute at the April Mother's Meeting to
explain why they feel they should be allowed to represent the Chapter at
the National Convention and/or Regional Conference. This is an
opportunity, not a requirement. A mother may choose to simply run on
the ballot.
3. Write-in candidates will be allowed, but they will have to be confirmed as
a Member in Good Standing prior to announcing them as “the winner”.
4. The Chapter will vote by ballot and the Mother with the largest number of
votes will serve as the delegate. The Mother with the 2nd largest number
of votes will serve as the alternate (unless there is only one position open,
then the elected-Member shall serve as the Alternate).
5. The nominee with the largest number of votes must be eligible (in Good
Standing) and must be available to accept or reject the assignment during
