We are providing support and guidance on the programme, ensuring alignment with other institutional initiatives, and providing on-going mentoring and support to the Programme Leader. 1752 – Holiday Calculations SUMS was asked to critically evaluate potential changes to Queen Mary’s annual leave policy. Feedback was provided on their principles document and an excel spreadsheet was provided, summarising terms and conditions for various employee types and giving examples of algorithms for the calculation of annual leave entitlements for standard and non standard working patterns. SOAS, UNIVERSITY OF LONDON 1674 – Review of Admissions Process Removal of the student numbers cap has caused much more competition in the recruitment of undergraduate students. With this in mind, SOAS recognised the importance of making sure they had efficient and fit-forpurpose Admissions processes that optimised the quality and number of students admitted. Informed by best practice, SUMS recommended changes that had at the core a change to a broader strategic - School-wide approach moving from a more tactical approach by Admissions. This repositioned Clearing and led to benefits that increased enrolment of quality students arresting League Table decline, improved processes and MI, better targeted marketing spend (ROI) and a better understanding of student motivations and outcomes.
