Regional organizations of the Americas participated at 12th Global Platform in Berlin

gathered in person and virtually at the 12th Global Dialogue Platform on Anticipatory Humanitarian Action, celebrated from October 22-24 in Berlin, Germany. The event, organized annually by the Anticipation Hub, had as theme “Integrating anticipatory action: collaboration in complex contexts”. One of the Platform's highlights was
the participation of 40
government representatives from different countries.
Representing the Americas, the regional Technical Group organized a parallel session on synergies with organizations in the region. Participants included Jessica Solano, representing the Coordination Center for Disaster Prevention in Central America and the Dominican Republic (CEPREDENAC), Silvia Helden from the Technical Secretariat of the Andean Community (CAN-CAPRADE) and Gayle Drakes from the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA).
The Global Platform was an inspiration to continue strengthening our disaster management systems.
