Over 80 people participated in trainings for

Anticipatory Action in Panama, Colombia and Chile

a he specialists who

participated in the two editions of ToTs (Training of Trainers) became strategic promoters of Anticipatory Action in their countries.

During 2o23, awareness-raising sessions were facilitated in Panama, led by Amilkar Solis and Jason Chávez of the Panamanian Red Cross. Face-to-face and virtual sessions in 6 regions of Chile were led by Diego Araya and Jean Paul Reinberg, of the Chilean Red Cross.

A full course for Anticipatory Action Promoters in Colombia was led by David Pulido, Paola Polo and José Leber, of the Colombian Red Cross.

These trainings serve as spaces to advocate for the paradigm shift from reaction to anticipation, raise awareness of the hydrometeorological and geophysical hazards, as well as social phenomena prioritized for EAPs; and the opportunities that these mechanisms represent for each National Society.

For each session or course, the trainers ensure that the content is relevant and adapted to the contexts in which the trainings are held, thus assuring that the learning experience is aligned with the interest and priorities of the different audiences.

Throughout the year, over 80 people representing technical teams, specialists and volunteers were reached, thus expanding the collaborators' network for potential EAP activations in each country.
