Prof. Matthias Spitzmüller is currently an Assistant Professor
at the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University
in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. He completed his PhD in
Organisational Behaviour under the guidance of Prof. John
R. Hollenbeck at Michigan State University in the United
States and also has an MBA from the University of St. Gallen,
Switzerland.
Matthias Spitzmüller’s research and teaching focuses on
different aspects of Organisational Behaviour and Human
Resource Management, such as team leadership and the
role of emotions in the leadership process. His research
has been published in the Academy of Management Journal,
the Journal of Applied Psychology, the Journal of Management,
the Journal of Organizational Behavior, Organizational
Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Human
Performance, the Oxford Handbook of Organizational Psychology,
and the European Journal of Work and Organizational
Psychology.
