Stray Thoughts Fall 2016
Senior Treasures Continued
Enya was adopted as a young cat and is now 12. She
was recently left at animal control when her owner
went to assisted living. None of her family could take
Enya and they didn’t know what shelter she came from
originally. Luckily, she was scanned for a microchip and
we got her back from animal control. Enya also had a
wellness work-up and is healthy. She is a little on the
shy side and is black so it will be harder for her to find
her forever home. Can you be the one to give her story
a happy ending?
that she had been suffering from painful bladder stones
for some time. It took a long time and a lot of vet visits
to get Bijou healthy and luckily the bladder stones were
dissolved by a special diet. As long as Bijou remains
on the diet, she should not experience further bladder
problems. Bijou has a lot of love to give and is patiently
waiting for her forever home. Can you help her out?
We are so grateful for the people who chose to adopt
a pet from West Suburban Humane Society. We are
especially thankful for those who adopt an older or
special needs pet. Won’t you consider opening your
heart and allowing one of these animals to spend their
golden years in a loving home of their own?
Bijou is 11 1/2 years old and has the sweetest disposition.
She was returned because she needed medical attention
and her family could not afford to take her to the vet. We
got her an appointment right away and it was discovered
