Another film Harryhausen worked on is called “The 7th Voyage of Sinbad” this film is one of his first works and is also another monster film, there are different effects in the film that are very revolutionary. Such as the one eyed cyclops in the film that fully moves and is still scary to this day. These effects were some of the first good monster effects to be used and have helped to revolutionise his work and future effects through the use of detail and smooth movement for one of the first times ever. https://youtu.be/rCYfrAPEz38 One of the other famous films he did stop motion animation for was called Clash of the Titans this film was revolutionary in stop motion from how smoothly everything ran together and how well everything blended together like his previous films. This is also the time when he tried to do special effects and stop motion together to create a unique style of mix and was one of the first developers to mix the two, this is seen nowadays how a lot of stop motion is replaced with CGI instead as it is easier and less time consuming in circumstances. These three films really helped to revolutionise stop motion and help make it a more common and advanced thing and inspires people making monster films nowadays to use these techniques and types of animation for their stop motion pieces. https://youtu.be/8X7W-oPhY48 Next is the stop motion animation framerates that make inanimate objects or models to look like they are moving if there is a high enough frames per second displayed in the images as I stated before they can be seen in Wallace and Gromit and Shaun the Sheep as these stop motion pictures both created by Aardman Productions show movement from still objects through taking many photos to create a moving picture that is very unique and takes a lot of time and dedication to complete as every second needs over twenty pictures taken for it. This can be seen in older productions such as “Workers leaving the factory” as that is taking using picture after picture and is used to give the film a higher realism factor that is used in stop motion of nowadays as the higher the frames per second the more realistic the image looks this is seen in modern stop motion animated films as you can see every single movement of the characters and every part of their body move when they talk or move this can be seen in the following YouTube links. You can see that these videos are very advanced by todays standard and everyone today is aware of Wallace and Gromit, through this you can see that they helped to push better and more modern animation to more mainstream audiences as some films before it was seen as quite niche as many people were only used to seeing live action actors in film and TV that were not cartoons. So this animation is still being see today thanks to the bigger studios making films that are stop motion, this can be seen in films such as Boxtrolls and Shaun the Sheep movie. And these films did quite well showing that people are more accustom to seeing new stop motion animation films than they would have before if not for the push of bigger films. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T0qagA4_eVQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oAheN_ARn1U
