VESTRY NOTES There was a full attendance of Vestry members at the meeting held on Tuesday 2 October 2018. The previous month’s minutes had been circulated in advance and were approved by the meeting. Report from the Rector: ➢ ➢ ➢ ➢ Rev Lesley-ann confirmed that her last service would be Christmas and not Easter 2019 as previously thought. She has experienced personal attacks during 2018 around the church building and rectory and recently her car had been targeted. These events have been reported to the appropriate agencies. The Diocese has approved installation of security systems in addition to the perimeter lighting. Harvest Sunday in place of a sermon there would be a presentation from Andrew McHaffie about his work with the RNLI. There would be a retiral collection and there would not be a lunch. Remembrance Service: 10 am Sunday 11 November 2018, at Cross in the garden Advent Services – ➢ ➢ ➢ ➢ ➢ Reflection on Monday evenings in December; Lectionary moves to Year C. All Saints and All Souls – 4 November, collect names and use the prayer tree. Sunday 23 December 2018 – Rev Lesley-ann and Ashley’s last service in Kings Park NO - Christmas Eve service Christmas Day Tuesday 25 December 2018 at 10 am The Treasurer circulated the balance sheets and explained the figures and expenses relating to the Rectory or the Church building. To permit the AGM to take place as promptly as possible all financial matters are in the hands of the accountants. The Secretary brought those present up to date with all correspondence processed since the last meeting including updating the SEC Red Book; contact with the Bishop regarding resignation letter from the Priest in Charge; Resignation letters had been received from two members of the Vestry to take effect from the forthcoming AGM. 14
