and/or use the pregenerated characters with their own choice of skills, weapon(s), and
Talents.
The prerequisites to have players with the adventure hook to take them to Berlin
present in their background, and the historical relationship with Gordon Ashton
remain.
Player Introduction
The following, and all subsequent indicated text, should be read to the players.
This will provide and overview of the game world for new players:
Welcome to London, Sunday, January 15th 1950... and over 4 years since the
dropping of the atomic bombs on Japan resulted in the Rip; a tear in the fabric of our
reality that conjoined our world with a hellish Otherside and destroyed Japan to leave
only what is now called the Wastes. The violence of the event spewing so called Ash
into the stratosphere that has surrounded the Earth in a shroud of grey. Direct
sunlight a thing of the past. The temperature has dropped 20 to 30 degrees
(Fahrenheit). The world is cold and grey. Already decimated by the effects of WWII
millions more die.
But for some a benefit is born from the Rip. Psychic talents. For others, the
nightmarish creatures that now infest what was Japan are the source of opportunity for
their own power, albeit through the awful process of tissue grafting, or Stitching as
it has become known.
Luckily you live in London where the psychically talented, or Psycrafters, are at
least accepted. In the U.S. all must suffer registration while in Russia being a
Psycrafter only gets you hunted and killed.
The world has changed. Meta-engineering marvels dreamed up by those working with
the appropriately gifted Psycrafters continue
to change it further.
