Sometimes to effectively lose weight
you must first evaluate the “why” of how
it got there on the first place. Is eating high
sodium, fried food a comfort mechanism
for you? Is soda a crutch that has now
become an addiction? Do you choose to
sit in front of the television or computer
night after night to avoid physical activity or is there something else that you are
avoiding? Our feeling about ourselves
weighs heavily (pun intended) into how
we see food, exercise and our relationship with both. A feeling of insecurity
can be compounded with a quick sugar
high from a soda and candy bar. It leaves
us feeling deflated because we lack will
power to resist and now we are lacking
in self worth, so why bother going to the
gym? You already threw that out the window with your
400 calorie snack, right? And now you have a terrible headache from the sugar crash and your stomach is grumbling
as a feeling of lethargy overtakes you. Another day down
the drain. You might as well stay home, unbutton that top
button on your jeans and order a pizza. Has this ever happened to you?
