living well Sometimes to effectively lose weight you must first evaluate the “why” of how it got there on the first place. Is eating high sodium, fried food a comfort mechanism for you? Is soda a crutch that has now become an addiction? Do you choose to sit in front of the television or computer night after night to avoid physical activity or is there something else that you are avoiding? Our feeling about ourselves weighs heavily (pun intended) into how we see food, exercise and our relationship with both. A feeling of insecurity can be compounded with a quick sugar high from a soda and candy bar. It leaves us feeling deflated because we lack will power to resist and now we are lacking in self worth, so why bother going to the gym?
