As summer falls right in our laps this
month, it may be difficult not to think about
quick fixes to tone, tighten and lose some
winter pounds that still seem to be lingering before we squeeze into that new
bathing suit. There is a lot of propaganda
out there about super foods, weight loss
pills, elixirs, wonder dusts and supplements
that will just melt the pounds off and make
you look 18 again...and the most exciting
part is: you don’t even have to change your
eating habits! Come on! You are smarter
than that!
You might be able to achieve quick
results with some of these products but
what are they going to do for you in the
long run? Is that seaweed, kale and quinoa
diet one you can stick with for the next five
years or even one that will be palatable for
the next five weeks? Weight loss can be
critical for some people and for others it
may be a way to feel better and look good
in their favorite clothes. You should always
talk to your doctor before starting a major
weight loss plan or new exercise routine to
help prevent injury or test for pre-existing
conditions.
