Custom Pipe & Fabrication acquires ProFab Corporation
Midland Industries joins forces with ISM
Custom Pipe & Fabrication, Inc. has completed its acquisition of ProFab Corporation, a stainless steel and carbon steel fabricator for pump applications based out of Lubbock, Texas. ProFab has served pump manufacturers for more than 40 years, providing fabricated components, machining, and pump fabrication products for municipal, commercial, industrial, and related markets. The acquisition strengthens Custom Pipe’ s ability to deliver precision-fabricated pump components and assemblies by adding ProFab’ s deep fabrication and machining expertise, including work across industrial-grade materials such as carbon steel and stainless steels( including 304 / 316), as well as duplex and super duplex alloys.
Midland Industries joins forces with Industrial Specialties Mfg. & IS Med Specialties. ISM has built a strong reputation for quality, responsiveness, and customer partnership in the industrial market. Bringing its organisation together strengthens its ability to serve distributors, manufacturers, and retailers with broader product offerings, expanded capabilities, and reliable service. This combination represents an important step forward as Midland continues to invest in growth and expand the value it deliver to its customers and partners across the industrial marketplace.
Marcegaglia PRODEC ®: new benchmark in stainless steel machining
Marcegaglia has introduced an evolution of Marcegaglia PRODEC ®, its range of stainless steel bars for machining purposes, which has been enhanced to meet increasing demands for efficiency, reliability and competitiveness. In an environment where performance must be measurable and directly translatable into operational value, Marcegaglia PRODEC ® delivers a clear step forward, validated by independent comparative testing. Recent V15 machining trials – which demonstrate a materials workability by determining the supplier with the highest cutting speed with 15 minutes of tool life – highlight significant improvements: + 13 % cutting speed on 304L, + 20 % cutting speed on 316L, and + 159 % longer tool life compared to lowest European test result. These results translate into tangible benefits for end users: higher productivity, reduced machining costs and improved process stability. The product is ideally suited to a wide range of applications: fasteners, flanges, valves, pressure fittings, machined components for process equipment, nuts, bolts, screws, gears, and shafts. With this development, Marcegaglia strengthens the positioning of Marcegaglia PRODEC ® not only as a high-performance solution, but as a true evolution standard in stainless steel machining, delivering measurable competitive advantage: higher output, greater efficiency and lower total cost. With the evolution of Marcegaglia PRODEC ®, Marcegaglia Group reaffirms its commitment to continuous innovation and the development of industrial solutions that concretely support the competitiveness of the machining value chain.
