PLUS Exploration launches Thailand ’ s first metal plant
The stainless-steel and aluminum design is engineered for large spans , reducing the number of penetrations through the building envelope . The combination of stainless steel ’ s strength and aluminum ’ s ease of adjustability optimizes the strengths of both materials . The system is fully designed and fabricated by Hohmann & Barnard .
PLUS Exploration has joined forces with Chinese partners to invest over 1 bn baht in establishing Thailand ’ s first base metal production plant from spent catalysts . The purpose of the agreement is to establish Thailand ’ s first base metal production plant from spent catalysts . This factory would significantly promote their business according to the principles of the circular economy , which involves the reutilisation of natural resources in the value chain to increase efficiency in waste management , raw materials , expired products , and energy so that they can be reused . All these managing plans will be implemented using modern and fully integrated environmentally friendly technology . The factory is scheduled to commence operations from 2025 onwards .
Hohmann & Barnard launches stainless-steel rainscreen system
After years of research and development , Hohmann & Barnard is excited to introduce an innovative stainless-steel clip and rail system to the rainscreen industry . This advanced system meets critical U-Value requirements for thermal efficiency while employing non-combustible materials . The system features an integrated engagement design that prevents the vertical rail from disengaging with the clip during the initial layout , without the need for any fasteners .
Ardea forms JV with Sumitomo and Mitsubishi
Ardea Resources Limited has entered into a binding Cooperation Agreement with Sumitomo Metal Mining Co ., Ltd ( SMM ) and Mitsubishi Corporation ( MC ) ( Consortium ) to form a 50:50 incorporated joint venture ( JV ) to develop the Kalgoorlie Nickel Project ( KNP ) – Goongarrie Hub . The incorporated JV vehicle will be Kalgoorlie Nickel Pty Ltd ( KNPL ), which is currently a wholly owned subsidiary of Ardea . The Cooperation Agreement sets out the terms and conditions on which the Consortium , Ardea , and KNPL will fund and conduct the Definitive Feasibility Study ( DFS ), and upon agreement by the parties and subject to a positive DFS outcome , Front-End Engineering Design ( FEED ) and Pre- Commitment Activities ( PCA ), leading to a Final Investment Decision ( FID ) on the KNP – Goongarrie Hub . Separately to the Cooperation Agreement , Ardea , SMM , and KNPL have agreed on funding support arrangements , enabling earlier DFS activities to occur in 2Q24 . This Transaction represents the successful conclusion of Ardea ’ s Strategic Partner process and is a major milestone for the development of the KNP – Goongarrie Hub into a globally significant nickel-cobalt operation .
