Swiss Steel Group joins CDP for decarbonisation
The Swiss Steel Group has taken another important step in its decarbonisation strategy . The Group has decided to join the Carbon Disclosure Project ( CDP ) supply chain programme , which helps companies measure and reduce CO2 emissions from their supply chain , to understand and improve the environmental performance of their suppliers and enables them to accurately track their CO2 emissions in the supply chain . As part of this initiative , the Swiss Steel Group has approached its 150 most important suppliers of raw materials and consumables with the aim of obtaining and better understanding their specific carbon footprint . This enables the Swiss Steel Group to include the environmental performance of its suppliers in the purchasing decision process . In addition , requesting primary emission data directly from the supplier enables a more accurate calculation of the product carbon footprint ( PCF ) than with secondary emission factors based on averages .

The Kemppi AX MIG Welder is a powerful robotic welder with seamless integration , an easy-to-use interface , and the latest welding technology . The AX MIG Welder was purpose-built for highintensity , 24 / 7 automated welding environments . With 400 or 500 A power and a robotic wire feeder , it is engineered to perform difficult tasks and meet demanding production targets . It has fine-tuned ignition and a precise seam tracking signal to ensure repeatable , high-quality welds . The product can be operated with basic welding knowledge . Machine controls and real-time performance data can be accessed with a browser on a laptop or mobile phone , and the user interface can also be integrated into an existing control system . It offers easy integration . It maximises the performance of any welding robot and works seamlessly with all aspects of an automated welding system . The AX MIG Welder is available starting from May 2023 .
ESAB supports tools for the Trades™ programme
To give students in continuing technical education ( CTE ) programmes the tools and encouragement to shape the world they imagine , ESAB announced a longterm commitment to support Northern Tool + Equipment ’ s Tools for the Trades™ programme . Northern Tool + Equipment also made a generous donation of professional-grade tools . ESAB and Northern Tool + Equipment plan to donate equipment to more high schools during the year . The names of the schools selected will be announced throughout 2023 . ESAB anticipates its partnership with Tools for the Trade will continue beyond 2023 and will benefit schools across the United States . The ESAB equipment donated to Lecanto High School include a Rebel™ EMP 215ic multi-process welder , a HandyPlasma 25i manual plasma cutter , three Swarm™ A30 auto darkening welding helmets , a Victor ® G-150 Portable Tote for oxyacetylene cutting and welding and 40 lbs . each of Sureweld 6010 and Sureweld 7018 Stick electrodes along with additional ESAB swag .
