A COMMUNITY ’ S STAND FOR VALUES AND FREEDOM

THE BIRTH OF FREEDOM FEST

A COMMUNITY ’ S STAND FOR VALUES AND FREEDOM
I was asked to write about how Freedom Fest came to be but first let me tell you who we are as a community , the Orange Beach community .
We ’ re a God-fearing , gun-toting , constitution-defending community of American patriots . We stand for the national anthem . We teach our children the Pledge of Allegiance . You will not burn flags in Orange Beach . We honor our veterans both serving and those passed on . Freedom is not free . We love our first responders . They are our heroes . Backing the blue is more than cliché . Our policemen and firemen - our frontline first responders - are provided what is necessary to do the job they are trained to do in the worst of conditions .
We will stand in “ the gap ” for our children in a world where evil wishes to consume them . Our brand is “ family friendly .” Our motto is “ Life is Better Here .” Why ?
Because we are a sanctuary city … for families . We are a community of family values , conservative values , traditional values and independent thinkers . We ’ re old school because old school works . We pride ourselves on being clean and safe with a goal of always remaining family-friendly .
God . Family . Country . That is Orange Beach … and that is Freedom Fest .
Freedom Fest started in the fall of 2021 as a protest against the unconstitutional lockdown and mandates of the Covid pandemic . We led the fight in Alabama from the very beginning against these tyrannical acts .
When the National Shrimp Festival was canceled , I resolved to fill its void . I was angry , so upset that our normal lives had been disrupted and stifled for way too long . It was time to act , thus Freedom Fest was born .
