Cooking is my passion , and my dream is to be a professional chef . When I heard about the culinary internship opportunity , I was motivated to apply because I want to use this program to learn the skills necessary to make my dream come true . I ’ m Nerissa Simon . My culinary journey began when I enrolled in T . A Marryshow Community College , where I received my associate degree in culinary arts .
I was then fortunate enough to obtain an internship at BOHO ’ S Bohemian Bites and Ceefod . Under the careful supervision of Chef Mark Banthrope , I gained valuable experience in the kitchen , preparing lunch and dinner . From there , I seized the opportunity to attend a culinary arts camp for young adolescents hosted by Flavors of Grenada and Chef Belinda Bishop , from which I obtained a certificate . Now , I am proudly working at Calabash Grenada Luxury Boutique Hotel Relais and Chateaux as a Commis Chef where our team prepares breakfast and lunch .
