Council
CCP Member Punam Sharma said “It was
better because it was smaller and there were
more people with learning disabilities. We had
small groups so it was easier to talk.”

We agreed that the new Board will meet
every 2 months & we will focus on one topic.
CCP will be meeting with groups of people
with learning disabilities to make sure they
have a say about what is talked about.
In May we talked to a group at Community
Access Service about things that are important to them. People told us they want more
chances to volunteer and to get paid jobs.

Service Closure?
The next Board meeting is in July & is about
things that people do in the day. There have
been lots of changes in day services in Hounslow. If you want to share your experiences
or get involved give Sarah or Jaspaul a call.
CCP members have been busy campaigning about
the possible closure of the Capital Call taxi service.
Members have been to meetings with Transport for
London and Margaret met with Mary MacLeod, MP
who is helping us with this work.
