/D 2001 GRACIELA RODO BOULANGER, SIGNED
‘AUTOUR DU MONDE’ ....................................... PH $750-1000
Three blue reversed Ernest Hemingway signatures appear on
this blotter (9"x4") for the Thompson Fish Co. in Key West
Florida. The Thompson Fish Co. is undoubtedly where
Hemingway purchased his fishing supplies, since itemized
receipts from the company appear in a Hemingway Ephemera
collection at the McFarlin Library at the University of Tulsa.
The signatures are key but the whimsical vintage style card
directly related to Hemingway’s favorite pastime is a wonderful
item for a Hemingway collector. (University Archives LOA).
Graciela Rodo Boulanger (1935-), Bolivian born artist renowned
for her depictions of joys of childhood. Large, 26½”x36½” limited
edition color lithograph (80/200), titled ‘Autour Du Monde,’
signed boldly, ‘G. Rodo Boulanger’ on lower white border, one
of her classic images showing three children riding bikes. Very
fine and well under current gallery pricing.
