Tom Wolfe (1931-) is U.S. journalist and novelist known as
proponent of ‘New Journalism,’ the application of fiction
writing techniques to journalism. ‘The Electric Kool-Aid Acid
Test’ (1968) book chronicles the life of a traveling group of
hippies. First Edition, Fourth Printing, artistically multi-color
signed ‘Tom Wolfe’ on page adjacent to title page, with original
dust jacket. Very fine.

Joseph Wambaugh (1945-), police detective turned author. Pair
of First Edition, First Printing hardcover books, ‘The New
Centurions,’ signed ‘Joseph Wambaugh’ on the title page, Little,
Brown & Co, 1970, with original dustjacket; and ‘The Blue
Knight,’ signed ‘Joseph Wambaugh’ on half-title page, Little,
Brown & Co, 1972, with original dustjacket. Of historical note,
‘The New Centurions,’ Wambaugh’s first book, met with critical
acclaim and popular success while Wambaugh was still working
in the detective division. He reportedly remarked, ‘I would have
guys in handcuffs asking me for autographs.’ Slight fading,
but very fine.

Tom Wolfe (1931- ) earned a doctorate from Yale University
and became known as a proponent of ‘New Journalism,’ the
application of fiction writing techniques to journalism. This
His novel, ‘The Bonfire of the Vanities’ (1987), explored urban
greed and corruption. First Edition hardcover book, signed &
inscribed ‘To Mike: Tom Wolfe,’ signed with a flourish on half
title page. Very fine with original dust jacket.

Faber and Faber, London, 1969. Hardcover, dust jacket and
mylar cover. Book fine (near mint); dust jacket inside lower
corner price clipped, trivial edge wear, still fine. Inscribed by
Heaney on the title page: ‘Seamus Heaney / for Keith - / with
good wishes / 25th February 1972.’ A nice example of the
author’s second book with an early inscription. Heaney was a
Nobel Prize winner and died in 2013.

of techno-thrillers. Pair of cloth-bound First Editions, First
Printing hardcover books signed ‘Tom Clancy’: ‘The Cardinal
of the Kremlin’, 1988, and ‘Red Rabbit’, 2002, both published
by G.P. Putnam’s Sons, and both with original dust jackets.
