Group of 10 autographed covers, with politicians, comic strip
artists and military related. Includes 1950 cover from the
Philippines, inaugurating the town of MacArthur on Leyte,
signed by Douglas MacArthur; 1962 Arizona Statehood
cacheted FDC signed by Carl Hayden, then the longest serving
congressman; 1989 Congress Bicentennial stamps FDC signed
by Tip O’Neill, former Speaker of the House; 1991 Desert Storm
stamp FDC signed by Norman Schwartzkopf; 1960 Boy Scout
stamp FDC signed by Norman Rockwell (stamp based on his
artwork); three cartoonist signatures on homemade covers with
strips affixed as cachets: Bill Keane (Family Circus), Brad
Anderson (Marmaduke) and Hank Ketcham (Dennis the
Menace). Two more with sports themes, Horses FDC signed
by jockey Eddie Arcaro, and 1980 Bicycle envelope FDC with
unknown signature.

Incredibly fresh typed letter, signed ‘Norman Rockwell’ in bold
black ink on 7¾”x5½” personal stationery. Dated March 9,
1973, letter reads: ‘Dear Andy Gordon: Thank you for your
kind letter and for the nice things you said about my work. I
am pleased to be included in your autograph collection.
Cordially, [signed] Norman Rockwell’ Interesting and
uncommon response to autograph request. Scarce and very
