(est 100 photos/50 slides), and Research Satellites + Radar
Tracking (est 150 photos/60 slides). Nice group, many have
an owner’s sticker on the back.

Group of about 300 total 8"x10" photos, evenly divided between
the Russian invasion of Czechoslovakia in 1968 and the 1980
Mariel Boatlift of Cuban refugees. Additionally, several hundred
US military related photos & booklets of tanks, aircraft,
weapons, etc, and NASA Spin-Off books from the 1990s.
Majority in very fine condition.
1899-1901 PHILLIPPINES INSURRECTION
SELECTED PHOTOS FROM SERIES ................. PH $400-600
Selection of 68 different lithographs (each 5¼”x7" including
border) of photos taken during the Philippine Insurrection from
a variety of series by different photographers including J.D.
Givens (x14) & Rochett (x5), PLUS 2 mounted toned & spotted
photos 4½”x3¾” showing hanging. Photographs show indigenous peoples including men, women & children, U.S Army &
Philippine soldiers, Insurgents, views, events, Admiral Dewey,
seven ships from Dewey’s Fleet including U.S.S Concord,
Raleigh, Baltimore, Petrel, Boston, Flagship Olympia & U.S.S
Yorktown whose crew (shown in a separate photo) was ambushed & captured by Insurgents, and other subjects including
execution by garotte. Interesting group, most photos numbered
& captioned, expect nakedness. Overall, fine to very fine.

Handwritten letter 2-page letter (5¼”x7¼”), signed by Viscount
Kentaro Kaneko in English, credited by historians for
convincing his former Harvard
classmate Theodore Roosevelt to
mediate in the Russo-Japanese
War. Letter, datelined ‘Tokio,
April 24, 1928,’ introduces a
member of the Japanese
parliament to American financier
Darwin P. Kingsley. Tex, in part,
reads: ‘It gives me a great
pleasure to introduce to you, Mr.
T. Takahashi, a member of the
House of Peers, who now sails
for America...’ Light ink offset
from folding letter with wet ink.
Includes original 5½”x4"
envelope, addressed by Kaneko.
Kingsley was president of New
York Life Insurance from
1906-30. Fine. (Accompanied by full transcript and University
Archives LOA).

Electors. A couple states misspelled,
results give popular & electoral vote
tallies. Few light stains, fine.
Interesting piece of political ephemera. (University Archives LOA).

material with medals & ribbons, Military Merit medal, ribbon
& pin in case, National Defense medal & ribbon, 25th Air Force

patch, 2 shaving brushes, bow tie and other personal items.
