lanning for your big day takes a lot of organization. Once you have the dress, shoes, veil and accessories, follow
these do's and don'ts to cover all of the bases to look and feel magnificent for your magical day.
Do – a makeup trial ahead of time and set your hair trial on the same day. You will want to bring your veil, hairpieces, a swatch of your dress, etc... to this appointment. You can discuss if you want "extras" such as eyelash extensions, spray tans, etc...
Do – have an idea of how you would like your hair and makeup to look like. The sooner you have your ideal image, the better. Not sure? Look through bridal magazines. Ask your make up artist and hair stylist their advice. What you may like, may not suit your facial structure. Showcase your features.
Don’t – get your mani/pedi on your wedding day. Waiting for polish to dry can be a daunting task any day, so this is not the day to be unable to use your hands because of wet nails. The last thing you need to worry about is smudging your fingernails or toenails. There will be lots of pictures and showing off your wedding band, so get those nails done ahead of time and you may want to choose a semi-permanent gel polish like Shellac.
Do – set your appointments ahead of time.
General guidelines:
Hair and make up trial asap.
Facial: 2-4 weeks prior.
Waxing: 3-5 days prior.
Mani/Pedi: 1-2 days prior.
Hair and make up: Wedding day.
Don't forget to book your bridesmaids, mother and mother-in-law with you!
