Mustang Island has over 20
miles of public beach. You can
drive on most of this, if you buy
a permit at the local grocery
store. I bought a boogie board
and swim shorts, and headed for
the beach. The beach is
uncrowded except on holidays,
so I went and caught some waves,
and yes, I 'wiped out' more than
once. After a while, I looked at my
watch and realized it was already
5:30; time flies when you're at the
beach! After a lovely dinner of
Fried Snapper at Pelican's LandIng restaurant, I spent the night
at my guest house.
I had a great time on my trip
To “Port A”, as the locals call it,
and would recommend it to
anybody looking for a relaxing
vacation or a fun getaway.
