PEAK SD Typically your weekend operator, here’s what the Peak SD focuses on: • Dynamic engagement. Are Associates being proactive or hanging back? The Peak SD pushes them to work at their peak during your peak. • Bearing the Standard. The Peak SD sets the selling standard. They’re curious about their customers and make the first approach. A Peak SD will introduce product and sell it before a customer even asks about it. BONUS: Associates realize they have to beat the SD to the sale if they want the $$...so they up their game to match yours! • Goalsetter. A Peak SD lets the team know where they’re at, where they need to be, and gives a couple of quick tips on how to get there. PEAK SD VS DOWNTIME SD… It’s all about the balancing act DOWNTIME SD Typically your weekday SD, they spend more time: • Analyzing business. What are the opportunities? What’s not selling and what can we do about it? They look at what they can control and they do something about it. • Delegating. The Downtime SD uses IBC* time to delegate tasks. It give the SD more time to analyze and gives the Associates a feeling of responsibility. And what’s the use of having responsibility if you can’t pass it on? • Coaching. A Downtime SD coaches. How? They follow up on delegated tasks (check), they observe interactions and give feedback (check), they work on ways to Multiply their team (double check). 5 *IBC = In Between Customers
