The agriculture project is named Izhar rural development model is also called Kalar Kahar Farms or KK Farms, synonymous to the well-known mountains of Kallar Kahar. Comprising of 550 acres, it is the most difficult of lands for cultivation because of the uneven mountainous and low rainfall area. The Farm is equipped with state of the art drip irrigation system to fulfill its water requirements.
Olive Oil processing is planned in next phase. This will enable thousands of tons of production of Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Aside from foreign exchange savings due to reduction of import of Olive Oil, Kalar Kahar Farm will contribute to the exchequer in multiple ways: It will bring a revolutionary change to the agriculture and horticulture of whole of Pakistan e.g. Cultivation of Olive trees and Olive Oil production, Olive Plants Propagation, Drip Irrigation on slopes, utilization of absolutely barren and marginal lands to cultivate high value produce. Even the mountains and deep gorges can be cultivated. Creating new job opportunities, and enhancing the living standards of very poor farmers and land owners of huge area of marginal lands in whole of Potohar, KPK, Balochistan and also arid and desert region of Sind and Punjab. It is already a role model for the whole of Pakistan. Already a lot of visitors are calling it an agricultural Miracle.
