sports extra As of October 12, 2018 the record for football is 3 to 4. Some high points this season are the number of the number of players they have out for football this year was a greater amount then we had out last year. Last year there wasn’t enough players out to be able to scrimmage. This year 29 boys between Ansley and Litch- field combined to form a competitive team. The schedule for the team this year was extremely competitive playing several teams in bigger schools like South Loup and Burwell. Several of the teams also were in action deep into playoffs last year. The coaching staff commented on how the team is doing really good at bouncing back from loses. “It’s a tough thing to do and we have to just keep going at our best and hope the next time we will win. The goals for the rest of the season is hopefully making the playoffs and above: John Zimmer carrying the ball against Pleasanton be competitive once we get there”. Playoffs will be decided after the October 19th game against Burwell. Spartan Volleyball As of October 13, 2018 the Spartan volleyball teams record is 9 to 15. According to the coaches the greatest game was the win over Brady at The Seven Valley Volleyball Tournament. The team is doing great at working hard and giving great effort in every game that we play. The goals for the rest of the season is to improve on skills and being more versatile. Sub-districts begin October 29th to start post-season play. Good luck the rest of the season Lady Spar- tans. I took 9 kids to and we brought home 2 winning teams along with some individual awards. 2nd Place High School Team; Nathan Wardyn, Tyler Schukei, Braydon Goodner and Par- ker LeFever. 3rd Place High School Team; Gavin Cole, Caden Holm, Faith Heapy and Jacob Heapy. Tyler got 1st in the Light Iron Division and Parker 5 in a row award.
