sports extra
As of October 12, 2018 the record for football is
3 to 4. Some high points this season are the
number of the number of players they have out
for football this year was a greater amount then
we had out last year. Last year there wasn’t
enough players out to be able to scrimmage.
This year 29 boys between Ansley and Litch-
field combined to form a competitive team. The
schedule for the team this year was extremely
competitive playing several teams in bigger
schools like South Loup and Burwell. Several of
the teams also were in action deep into playoffs
last year. The coaching staff commented on
how the team is doing really good at bouncing
back from loses. “It’s a tough thing to do and we
have to just keep going at our best and hope the
next time we will win. The goals for the rest of
the season is hopefully making the playoffs and
above: John Zimmer carrying the ball against Pleasanton
be competitive once we get there”.
Playoffs will be decided after the October 19th game against Burwell.
Spartan Volleyball
As of October 13, 2018 the Spartan volleyball teams record is 9 to
15. According to the coaches the greatest game was the win over
Brady at The Seven Valley Volleyball Tournament. The team is
doing great at working hard and giving great effort in every game
that we play. The goals for the rest of the season is to improve on
skills and being more versatile. Sub-districts begin October 29th to
start post-season play. Good luck the rest of the season Lady Spar-
tans.
