As we begin the new year, take time to be thankful for you and your family. Often we get caught up in the excitement of the season and forget to tell each other “Thank you” for all you do. Instead of setting a serious New Year’s Resolution, have fun with your goal and set A Big Fun Goal. A Big Fun Goal could be anything you want to experience or accomplish in 2018. It should be a BIG goal because it’s important to dream and think big. It should also be FUN in that you have fun going after it and enjoy the process of trying to make it happen. This Big Fun Goal could be personal or with your whole family. Whether your BFG is to get a promotion, climb Mount Everest, write a book, go camping at a new area, visit Europe, learn to play the guitar, get into your favorite college, win a championship, go on a mission trip to Haiti, start a charity, learn to paint with water colors, or something else, you can have FUN while you make your BIG goal come alive! What will be your Big Fun Goal? (Thank you for the idea, Jon Gordon.) Scholarships For local and state scholarships, visit Scholarship Quest at EducationQuest.org. It is never too early to begin searching for scholarships as well as making your list of strengths, volunteer activities, and other notable characteristics about yourself.
