FFA NEWS & ACTIVITIES
On December 13, a total of 19 students from the Litchfield FFA club attended the District 8 Leadership Development Event competition in Loup City. Litchfield had three teams competing in the Junior High Ag Quiz Bowl competition. All three teams won at least one match during the competition. The seventh grade team consisting of Katherine Paitz, Kaylee Rohde, Brandi Slocum and Shamane Zentz received a red ribbon for their efforts. Two freshmen students participated in the Creed Speaking event. Both students placed in the top half of the highly competitive competition with Tessa Shafer earning a red ribbon and Sydnee Sweley earning a white ribbon. Two Ag Demonstration teams also participated at Loup City. Team one consisted of Kyle Betke, Christopher Paitz, Jacob Swearingen and John Zimmer. Team two consisted of Wendy Brandt, Meghan Kratzer and Sydnee Sweley. Both teams earned white ribbons for their efforts. The FFA students will now turn their focus to the Career Development Event competitions as well as Livestock Judging for next semester.
