School Board Minutes Continued …
Jim Holm made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 9:18 p. m. Second by Bill Howard. Motion carried 5-0.
The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Education will be at 7:30 p. m. on January 16, 2017. The agenda is a continuous agenda and is available for examination during regular hours in the office of the Superintendent. Public notice of the meeting will be given in the Small Town Times Newsletter and in the Sherman County Times.

LITCHFIELD PUBLIC SCHOOLS BOARD OF EDUCATION REGULAR MEETING JANUARY 23, 2017
President Mitch Feldman called the regular meeting to order at 7:30 p. m. Members Present: Bill Howard, Marie Sweley, Jim Holm, Steve Heapy, and Mitch Feldman. Todd Wardyn was absent and excused. Visitors: Rebecca Vega, Sherrie Klein and Husband. President Mitch Feldman announced and informed the public that a current copy of the Open Meetings Law is posted on the wall of the meeting room, and also indicated the instructions for those who wish to speak during the public forum.
The minutes of the last meeting were read. Bill Howard made a motion to approve as read the minutes form the last meeting. Second by Steve Heapy. Motion carried 5-0.
The treasurer reported a blanace of $ 607,533.87 in the district treasury. Payroll and claims in the amount of $ 215,627.99( this amount includes claims from Trane and State Glass for coil replacement and State Glass) were presented for payment. Steve Heapy made a motion to pay the claims. Second by Bill Howard. Motion carried 5- 0.
Wade Finely reported on the 4-12 th grades attending a Digital Citizenship / Online Safety assemblies in Loup City. The donation of beef to the school through the Farm to School program and the presentations by different organization that Mr. Johnson lined up. The agenda for the teacher in-service to be held on the 25 th and the upcoming external visitation and staff renewing CPR and Epi-Pen training, and then finishing up MAPS testing this last week.
In the Superintendent’ s Report, Dr. Maline discussed swearing in of new board members, election of officers, personnel, open teaching positions, federal programs administrator, school calendar, long range planning, NASB legislative issues conference, and transition of the new superintendent.
President Mitch Feldman read the oath of office and Jim Holm, Steve Heapy, and Mitch Feldman said I do.
Bill Howard made a motion to recommend that all current officers retain their positions. Second by Steve Heapy. Motion carried 5-0.
