PETER LORENZ & SIR TERENCE CONRAN
The modern architecture of this former coach station stands out amongst Vienna's
mix of monumental facades and late 19th-century Art Nouveau buildings. Austrian
architect Peter Lorenz and British interior designer Sir Terence Conran preserved
parts of the original structure, combining elements of imperial elegance with sober
lines. Cross-vaulted rooms give the building a distinctive flair, hearkening back to its
history as a coach station. Sprawling suites and generous guestroom sizes exude the
expansive elan of luxurious travel—referencing the building’s heritage while pleasing
the discerning tastes of today’s traveler.
