SHANGHAI AND ITS MANY WONDERS BY MIKAELA JANE CORDERO Do you want to know where to go when you’re bored or just hanging out with your friends? It is sometimes hard to find good activities to do when you’re not sure if it will be fun or interesting. Well you’re in luck because this article will be providing five fun activities to do in Shanghai! Shanghai is the city of many wonders and you should definitely not miss out on these five. with bacon bits! The ticket price may seem a bit high but it is worth it, the price is 180RMB for a tour if you’re an adult but children ages 12-18 pay 150RMB. “I have been to many places including the Shanghai Zoo, The Zotter Chocolate Factory and Jump 360. My favorite one is the Zotter Chocolate Factory because my family loves chocolate, and the visitors who came with us to this place also enjoyed it a lot,” said Ms. Marta Saludes, the Spanish teacher at SLAS. The next fun attraction to go to is Shanghai Disneyland! Inside Disneyland you will find 31 amazing rides and activities for kids and adults. Inside you can also find Chinese and Western restaurants, so you don’t need to go out and buy food. Parades are also displayed during afternoon and night times and every night they also show amazing firework for you to enjoy. The rides are developed from famous Disney movies, including Tron, The Pirates of the Caribbean and Soaring over the Horizon. The prices on the weekdays are 399RMB and 500RMB for weekends. The first attraction is Jump 360, a large trampoline park full of activities such as obstacle course, bubble football, dodge ball, basketball, and a big trampoline from where you can jump into the foam pit. The price is 200RMB per person for one hour, but you can get the other 100RMB back since it is a deposit. The last attraction is the Shanghai Zoo, which is very close to our school! At this zoo, there are over 6,000 animals among which are 600 Chinese animals and include giant pandas, golden snub-nose monkeys, South China tigers and many more unique species. The current admission price is 40RMB per person. The second attraction would be X-Club Laser Tag which is one of Shanghai’s newest laser tag venues. At this laser tag venue, you can select different types of modes for example, battle mode where you can attack and do battle with your group of friends. One round of laser tag is 15 minutes for 50RMB. “My favorite place to visit would be the Shanghai Zoo because I like animals and nature, ” said Ire Shin a 9th grade student at SLAS. He also added, “I think it is worth it because the activities are really fun so it is worth the price.” The third activity is a tour of the Zotter Chocolate factory. This chocolate factory is actually an Austrian brand, one of the world’s top eight chocolate manufacturers.
