Explosion of Flavors at Tumblr Ready-Shops By Anna Kim People in the 21st century love taking pictures before eating, and proceeding to post them on social media. This is a trend nowadays especially for teens and their parents. The most popular social media, Instagram and Tumblr, have their own color scheme for pictures. They use these color scheme by putting filters on a picture to makes it look more aesthetic and attractive. However, some foods are just not worth a taking picture even if you use filters. Here are seven different food shops that are worth eating at and taking pictures of their food. 1)BOWL’D 徐汇区 安福路255号(近武康路) Bowl’d is a shop where a lot foreigners go for breakfast. Acai bowls are a new breakfast trend worldwide. The acai berries came from South America, and it has been heralded for its array of health benefits. However, its strongest asset is definitely it’s taste. Acai bowls look like ice cream, and they nearly taste like ice cream. It’s basically a really thick smoothie that has been topped with fruits, nuts, coconut shreds, and granola. At Bowl’d they serve four different flavored acai bowls. : 2)What Is Your Flavor? 徐汇区 武康路202号 If you don’t know this popular but secluded ice cream shop you are not a tumblr person. It’s the hottest ice cream shop in Shanghai this past summer. You often line up for 2 hours for the ice cream. They have a variety of exotic flavors, yet only 5 are chosen to be sold every day. They also serve hand-made waffle cones with the ice cream. 3)Little Catch 乌鲁木齐中路247-6 号 NEW!! 泰兴路89号2楼 Little Catch is a really famous seafood store on Wulumuqi Road. This summer they stared selling poke bowls. What is poke? Poke is a Hawaiian raw fish salad. Cubed sashimi is tossed with sauce with other ingredients. At Little Catch, their pokes are freshly prepared every day. All poke bowls come with sushi rice and a seaweed salad. They also sell seafood bagels and raw seafood. 4)AL’S BAKING CO. & Gracie’s ice cream 10 襄阳南路174 号 (靠近复兴中路) If you don’t know Gracie’s ice cream sells low calorie ice creams with unique flavors like orange buttermilk, half-baked cookie dough, black sesame, white chocolate ginger, and many more. Al’s Bakery sells traditional American desserts like red velvet cupcakes, cinnamon sticky buns, blueberry and morning glory muffins, salted caramel brownies, and much more. Their trademark dish is the ham & cheddar biscuits. 5)Sweetist 静安区 陕西北路525号 The differences between Sweetist and other ice cream shops is that they have floral and tea flavored ice cream, which are their trademark. The texture of the ice cream is really different from other ice cream shops. The signature flavors of Sweetist include honey lavender, earl grey, and rose raspberry ice cream creations. 6) X lobster & chicken 南阳路100号 X lobster & chicken have the best takeout food ever! They sell double layered snack cups with the first layer being smoothie and second layer steak.The Layers are separated with a piece of plastic. You can hold your drink and your food in one hand, so it’s convenient to eat. They don’t only sell steak they also offer lobster and spicy rice cake (dokbokgi) snack cup. This store originally came from Korea. 7) Blue Feaster 静安区 康定路361号 Blue Feaster has the most interesting freak shakes in all of Shanghai. It’s a milk shake in a mason jar with dramatic toppings. At Blue Feaster they have more than 25 freak shake flavors , and some of the most popular ones are the chocolate lava cake, the unicorn poop and the Oreo & KitKat freak shakes. Basically, freak shakes are Tumblr milk shakes that make your Instagram feed look prettier
