SUBARU 360° SUBARU 360° SUBARU FORESTER NAMED THE CANADIAN UTILITY VEHICLE OF THE YEAR On February 16, at the Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto, the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC) announced the Subaru Forester as the 2017 Canadian Utility Vehicle of the Year. The Subaru brand is no stranger to the AJAC awards, having been honoured 15 different times in the 33-year history of the Car of the Year program. The Outback has won five AJAC awards, including being named Canadian Utility Vehicle of the Year in 2010. The Legacy has six AJAC awards to its name, including the Canadian Car of the Year title in 2015. The Forester now has a total of four AJAC awards after picking up the Best New Small Utility award this year and then being named the Canadian Utility Vehicle of the Year. “It is an honour that AJAC and its members recognize Subaru’s continued commitment to improvements in safety, performance and convenience,” said Shiro Ohta, the outgoing Chairman, President and CEO of Subaru Canada. An all-new model when it was introduced last year, the latest Forester boasts an unbeatable combination of all-road/all-weather capability, superior reliability and advanced safety features.
